First: I saw this in the supermarket and it made me smile, but I forgot to post it earlier.
Kiss of the century.
Julia gave us all final, individual assignments today. Mine was to paint a window from life, and then add Rapunzel in.
I never thought I'd ever say this, but I'm really enjoying painting. I can actually see myself start pursuing it more seriously in the future, especially with watercolours.
In other news... vernissage!
Vernissage: "also called "varnishing day," the day before the opening of an art exhibition traditionally reserved for the artist to varnish the paintings; a reception at a gallery for an artist whose show is about to open to the public."
Julia, our fearless leader, leaves tomorrow, so we had a final "gallery showing" of our artwork.
"Mmm."
(Nasir and DeAndre have been doing this all day, to everything... :P)

Ta-daa!
Nayyirah's amazing illustrations!
This is my favourite painting of Avery's.
Both by Emma; she asked to paint me yesterday only she didn't know what to do with my clothes... so she just painted me nude. She asked if it would offend me and I just had to laugh -- it takes a lot to offend a theater major. :)
Chandri regards the masterpieces.
Nayyirah's depiction of our adventures at the pool.
"Wowwww! These are good!"
Audrey approves of the drawings of her.
Julia, our proud teacher and mentor.
"Mmm."
Avery's sketch of Audrey.
Our celebration! As Ariana pointed out, most vernissages are celebrated with champagne, but obviously such revelries could not commence here...
We found ice cream a suitable alternative.
Freaking most delicious ice cream I've ever tasted! It had actual bits of coconut in it, too!
