7/15
Today began with sleeping in. As usual I was awake before everyone else, and suddenly Audrey comes running in squealing for my camera.
Someone's underwear was dropped on the porch in the process of being transported from the clothesline to a bedroom, and a lizard had found a comfy bed.
After lunch (Nayyirah slept till 1:00), Audrey began her long-awaited sculpture in plaster class.
Emma was our model.
The arm pieces were removed in two parts once they were dried.
Larissa posed me. :P
Beginning the mold for the hand!
once the bottom part was hard, Audrey put a special lotion over it and Emma's hand, and poured fresh plaster over-top.
Nothing quite as exciting as watching plaster dry.
Taking it off!
Ta-daa!
We bought ice cream for Bastille Day yesterday but we'd forgotten about it... So we ate it today! :D
French ice cream is so much better than American ice cream, it's not even fair.
And then after ice cream... WE WATCHED LORD OF THE RINGS!
One of my favourite movies everrrrr AND the guy who owns this house had the extended version so I was like, "EXTRA HAPPINESS!!" Emma, Nayirrah, and Larissa had all never seen it (deprived childhoods, basically) so I was overjoyed to bring this masterpiece of film into their lives. :P
Last night, the moon was the biggest it will be all year.
