Jammin'

7/19

Today we made Apricot Jam!

But first, we (Emma, Soreya, DeAndre, and I) rose bright and early to be the first at the market!

...and by "bright" I mean it was pouring rain.

But our endeavours meant we got almond croissants for breakfast!

And take a gander at THIS beauty! Crêpe cake?! I WANTED IT SO BADLY.

Ah, Spar. Our favourite place to buy Kinder Eggs. :P

Cold and wet but satisfied with our purchases, we decided to head back home to make something warm (in my case, some peach-cassis tea I'd just bought!).

GIANT meringues.

The torrential rain lightens and everyone resumed working on their final projects.

Larissa and I took a walk to the cherry tree I'd discovered to take some pictures to accompany the poem she was writing about it.

The plum tree we found! Still unripened, alas.

SHEEP FARM.

IN LOVE.

I like flowers. :)

The cherry tree! We picked the last ones we could scavenge from the rotten ones that made up most of the ones there.

This wind vane makes me smile.

Seriously, Provence is one of the most gorgeous places in the world.

Jam time!!

Chandri bought a ton of apricots yesterday, and now we're going to make them into JAM!

Meanwhile, Avery declared it National Potato Day so Emma drew a face on one.

Provencal vineyards. Took this while filming Geoffrey running for his final project.

Can't even describe how delicious this yogurt was.

Arianna cooking what ended as the most delicious pasta sauce EVER.

Note her enjoying the cooking process. ;)

DANCE PARTY.

Always the appropriate response to any situation.

Athena showing us some of her work as a performing artist.

And then she showed us some music from Yelle, one of my favourite French singers ever!

And then, after that...

WE STARTED THE THIRD LORD OF THE RINGS!!
MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE OF THE TRILOGY!
