7/1
The first of July!
First thing's first: puzzle. We bee-lined to it before breakfast was even out.
Audrey usually cooks the meals, and since she is also the teacher for the advanced class, she decided we would help make lunch today! SO EXCITED!
I was so excited to cook, but I kept running over to my notebook to jot down the new words Audrey was teaching us, like saupoudrer de poudre, which means to sprinkle, but specifically something in powder form.
Emma prepares le fromage.
The boys épelent (peel) the carrots.
I put some oil in the pan to start the onions and Audrey leans over and exclaims, "Plus! Plus! Tu es dans la compange maintenant!" ("More! More! You are in the country now!")
Pro.
Then I put Geoffrey in charge. Look how professional he looks!
Sneaking some pineapple.
Look at us go!
Carrot-Onion Tart! All ready to go in le foer (oven).
Foooooooood!
FINISHED!
200 piece puzzle. Child's play. :P
Crazy-flexible Emma touches her head with her foot.
Our lunch! Yeeeeah, advanced French class! We're awesome.
We made two of these and every last piece was devoured.
On the schedule for the rest of today is an art lesson here at notre maison and then a festival in a nearby town which apparently is going to include some African dancing! We're going early so we can wander around the town for a bit... Fingers crossed for some Kinder Eggs!!
In other news, I put together a wee video from our supermarché adventure a few days ago:
