A Trek Uptown and a Swim in the Sun

6/26

Day one, and we soon learn what it means to bask in the Provencal sun.

Nasir shows off for the womenfolk.

French Cheerios!

What Would Mama Bush Do?
Any LHSMB-ers reading this blog? Being trip photographer = channel Mama Bush!

The neighbor girls pay us a visit and give us some lessons in French!

The Provencal sun is not to be messed with, and we grab some hats for our morning excursion uptown.

The public fountain/spring!

The home- and shop-fronts are all decorated with copious amounts of flowers and overhanging plants.

We walk past the church and begin the trek up the hillside to the castle ruins.

"Climb, climb up this darn mountain..."
Except, no hurricane breezes were blowing. :P

We pause near the top to take in the ever-expanding view.

On the other side we find a lake!

Emma and I agreed we felt ever so French with our hats on.

The castle approacheth!

The view from the castle.

We begin the walk back through the village to the House.

Man-supports!

Back at the House, it's time for some swimming!

Nasir is very conscious of the cleanliness of the pool.

The lavender bushes surround the whole property and when you stand close enough you can hear the hundreds of bees perusing them busily.
